Overview

As a writer, I have published articles on labour history, organizing, and migrant justice with Spring Magazine. My content writing has been published in Canadian House & Home magazine.

As an editor, I have worked in the Copy Department of House & Home magazine and on the Editorial Board of Spring Magazine. I have edited university applications, small business grants, web copy, speeches, and screenplays for freelance clients.

As a communications professional, I have managed the social media accounts and content calendar of House & Home magazine and the (now-defunct) Research Lab on Cities and Contemporary Urban Processes at the University of Ottawa.

As a translator, I have translated articles into French for Spring Magazine and added French subtitles to training videos for the Women’s Legal Education and Action Fund.

I am a volunteer with Justice for Workers, a labour advocacy organization. I participate in canvasses, postering runs, and picket line visits, and I translate materials into French. I have worked for the transit nonprofit TTCriders as an organizer and the ONDP as a canvasser.

Before pivoting to a career in communications, I spent nine years working as a tree planter. At various points in my life I have worked as a tutor, a camp counselor, a gardener, a driver at a construction company, and a receptionist at a wellness clinic.
